The other day as I was filleting my butts i notice that they all had worms inside their rib cage/stomach area. I was going to post this earlier, but forgot(Should have taken a picture as well) . Am I the only one having this issue? I've never noticed this before, but now i'm actively looking for them now. Thought I would let others know, so they can look out for them too. L.A.

Those little red worms are common. I'm pretty sure you can cook your way through em......pretty sure......

That Hali is not good a young dude like you to eat because the worms will have a lot of time to grow inside you.    :smt003  I'll get rid of them for you if you like.

reminds me of a charter boat captain that told people who caught blue lings that they were poisonous.  He of course had developed an immunity  :smt003

So i found a picture online of the parasitic worms. Gross, but I'd rather be in the know.

Yeah, this has been discussed here in the past and all is good as long as you cook it thoroughly so eat away.  However if you are still having second thoughts, there are obviously plenty of people that will dispose of the halibut for you. :smt003

I've experienced lotsa worms in the gut cavity of larger reds.  Pretty gross, but no big deal since not eating the intestines (well maybe the liver and heart, for the adventurous).
