#2 @ Rollins lake Greenhorn 7-7-11 6ish till dark, Bass and 18" crappie huntin'

Doing it again!!!  Tuesday They charged $5.50 at the gate and had no problem with 10-11pm departure. I got off the water by 9ish and fish started hitting top water all over the dang cove! I was about ready to get back in!!!! Plan on a flash light/lantern and late run back home. You can even camp there on the water and hit in again in the morning! http://www.nevadacountythingstodo.com/camping/greenhorne/ We might even find those 18 inch (yes 18") Crappie again. (no promises) Lake has settled out after 4th weekend traffic. Should be EVEN BETTER THAN TUESDAY WAS!!! Bring worms, Secret lures, JUMBO Crickets (At least 10, pet stores have them for reptiles) Small bait fish are easily caught so Don't buy expensive minnows... Don't miss this one. Might BE EPIC! Or at least allow for some AOTY upgrades or fill in fish (I didn't even try for trout last time) Worth the drive but Go threw Colfax to 174 towards grass valley. Right on greenhorn rd about 5 miles after you drop threw Bear river canyon below Rollins dam. Watch your speed and for Dang deer! Don't go hwy 49 to Grass valley then 174 like the Idiot box will tell you as it adds 20 min and 20 miles  Come one come all. Let's impress them into a future discount for NCKA. Can meet at my shop in Auburn to caravan up if you want.

Rob hooked into something huge but it got away Spotted bass only on the menu for last night. Saw several schools of crappie on the finder but not biting Gonna have to make an early morning run to get the 18" monster crappie!  Don't miss the next trip up there
