Mooch and I fished Lexington today. This was my fist time fishing here which is pretty sad since it is about 15 minutes from my house. According to Joel the water was way up and it sure looked like it to me. I thought this would make some great crappie fishing but I was disappointed, no fish for me today. The water was coffee with about 6 inches of vis.

Joel landed a nice bass and I took a great pic. This bass jumped right into Joel's net and if you look closely at the first pic you can see it in mid-air about to land in the net.

good work guys!

Bill, I'm glad you got there finally!  pretty nice lake, eh?
imagine how it would be if somebody besides
mooch and ken kickfish could catch a fish there!  :smt007

on saturday I put together some lures for sunday, but got a call to go surfing
sunday and did that. I had driven by lex a few days
earlier and seen that the water was back up and muddy.  :smt009

coastside has some interesting freshwater reports, btw.

Bill, even though you didn't catch a fish at least you got your Kayak on the water.  The way march has been that is as good as catching a fish!  Nice bass Joel!

Mooch,  Thanks for your advice.  How do you present it?   Do you just cast out and drag along the bottom?  How deep?

I was actually trolling in about 10 to 15 ft. of water right next to the shoreline's drop off. I had about 50 ft. of line behind me.
