Took advantage of my window of opportunity to go fishing. Wx looked promising. OTW at 7:30am off at 10 am fished large plastics for 3 shaker and 1 keeper (27") ling. Switched over to small plastics with single barbless to fill out a limit and have fun with catch and release. Water conditions: 10-15 ' vis w/ a strong current and wind building from 5 mph at arrival to 15mph and just starting to cap. Really fast drift made for a lot of work resetting the drift. The kelp was there but you could not see it on the surface because it was being pulled under by current. Rain the whole time put a kibosh on my shore lunch.

Its like what they say about how the pet and their owners look alike, I think that goes with fisherman and their catches also... LOL   NICE CATCH!!!

One is a Ling and the other is just an all wet "sucker". So we are both fishy.

Good luck on your trip.... I was a little surprised how many folks were there on a Tuesday, in the rain. 3 other kayaks, a small inflatable, a 25' boat, 2-3 divers, a couple of shore fisherman. I have been going there mid week for many years and rarely see anyone else.

Hi Wes, Glad you got a hold of me, saw your Dad & Sister on the 4th. I'll keep you in the loop when I'm headed out next on the chance that you can make it. Packing up right now for a little night catfishing from shore. A comfy 90 outside at 8pm. Let me know if you are headed out.
