It looks like we get another break in the spring blasts this Wednesday.  Allen, sorry to see that your trip didn't work out any better than ours.

So, I would like to do San Carlos or Lover's Wednesday AM.  Company appreciated.

Hey thanks Pat-  You didn't miss much.

It was certainly great to get out on the water, though.  Stretch the muscles and feel the taps, even if was only rockfish.

I did get a stunning kelp greenling today, about 16-17", maybe three pounds.  Beautiful fish, female I think, with stunning colors on it.  Just Awesome.  also caught about 5-6 rockfish, just small ones out by the yellow buoy.

I wante to get out in front a bit more and deeper to test the waters for sandabs, but the sind came up and I headed in (cold).

anyway, i'll be back out there next weekend if all foes well, otherwise up here for salmon i guess.

I'm in. When you settle on a time and place, let me know. I don't mind the rain either, but big wind and waves probably give us all pause.  Green Prowler, channel 69.  Butts and dabs, I presume.

Cool.  I am betting it will be San Carlos.  I am open to 6:30 or 7am.

The only time I launched at San Carlos I did it from the beach(not easy-there was a big rock in the middle of the sidewalk), but I think I've read yaks can use the ramp for free, is that true?  I parked in that lot above the beach, I just can't recall if there was a time limit. I've got some good wheels if there is a better place to park within a couple of blocks.
I'll shoot for 6:30, made it to DelMonte the other day by then, but it took me 15 mins to get ready to launch.

I've launched between the rocks many times and so far done okay.  I've never accessed the ramp.

I always bring quarters for the meters.  I hadn't heard that kayaks can park free.

Heh Erin,

We posted a report in Fishing Reports.  The wind was a bit much and so we were off just after high tide at 10:45.
