Taking the pedal yaks and wifes up to Jenner for the holiday. Anyone know if the smallmouth bite is possible in the lower river near Jenner? Should I bother to take fishing gear?

I have never caught any in the tidal section which ends at Austin Crk. I have caught a couple of LMB at the hole just above Willow Crk years ago but the furbars have been wiping out the fish in the tidal section
