Well the weather is keeping me away from stripers with Steve tomorrow, so I think I'll try delmonte beach in Monterey on sunday.  I have a clinic there next week and should do a little pre-fishing to spock things out.

Love some company- launch around 6:30.  chef?  randy-pat?

Looks like I can make it.  Are you fishing for halibut? Sanddabs?

I'd like to go but what do you make of the conditions? Is 1-3ft wind waves much to put up against?

Looks like the reports are changing and its calming down. 1-2ft wind waves now and only 5-10kts. I'll cya all in the morning next to MB Kayaks!

tom-

yup....sand dabs and halibut.  Gato- the wind waves predicted are always 'the worst' they expect.  I think the morning will be fine, hence the early launch.

If it blows too hard, then I'll just padddle in.

Sea you there?

I'm up at 5, that's most of the battle, be on the beach at 6:30.  It's blowing 15-19, 12 ft 8 sec at teh bouy, might be a short day, but maybe a nice sunrise.

Same story as Tuesday. No dabs or 'buts although I did manage to catch something about the weight of the Earth and fight it for 30 minutes. :) I snagged something that was moving along the bottom (took me about 1/8 mile) on a sabiki and also caught a rockfish at the same time so I thought I had the biggest fish ever on. I felt some shaking from the rockfish and I felt a big dull weight as well. What are the chances?! Anyways, we all hooked some out of season stuff including my first ever ling which kept it interesting and we had fun being out there. Just no barn doors or even fly swatters yet.
