Going into patent office to file and start producing these short run... Ask next time you see me... For sit on tops with foot rest rails. (Hint, I want dual front rod holders like those hobie's have) Not real exiting but real cool... Won't need a triple tree now.  :smt045
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

I really want to flash it around but it is so easy, stupid,  :smt044 that I was told to file first and NOT to put it up on the net! will update older Kayaks to super fishing yaks in about 5 min! No drilling, tools, no interference.... Should have made them years ago  ... Will post pictures when I can. Are mounted on my Kayak (tarpon 140) and work slick!!!!

Better do a lot of marketing research before dumping money into a patent. It costs bucks. Keep in mind that your patent is only as good as the money you have to back it too.
You might want to consider a provisional patent first.

Ron, I believe Wilderness has track mounts for the newer models. Not sure they fit our older models. Looks slick, I'd be interested. The Scotty T bar works but isn't a very elegant solution. It gets in the way of accessing the foreward hatch and can be a pain righting the boat and on re entry after a non planned swim.

The provisional is what i have... And yes, been on the water with them, Production models will have a 2-3" riser and 3" extension over edge of yak to clear pole butt and knees... Work in progress  :smt001 will manufacture a few to do tests with soon (CNC=$$$)  :smt044 Thanks for the input!!!  :smt007

I must be missing something. Where those rod holders are in the photo would put the catch phase of your forward stroke just beyond the paddlers knee. With the exit phase happening at the femoral head, that would only give you only about 28-30 inches of travel room to work with. I realize that your intention is to troll but that is still a very small window that resembles a SUP slap more than paddling a kayak no matter how slow you want to glide.
But like I stated, Im probably missing something.

maybe your paddle is 180ish?
Hmmm, I might be short stroking it a bit...  :smt044 Can be moved forward in track to accommodate long strokes...  :smt005 Thanks for the input though. took it out last night caught some bass. worked well for me... (rollins lake, long ravine ramp area, 6-7:30 pm 13" smallie on Pearle zoom super fluke, hit top water presentation 15-20 ft off shore on structure ditto on 3 other smaller fish)

I don't intend on winning any tourney's, I intend on fishing with the brother's OTW and having a good time while at it... NCKA!
