Am thinking of fishing Friday or Sunday.  Let me know if you're interested.

Update: am going out Sunday.  We're launching at 7:30.

I may be interested in Sunday. so far my plan is to launch from Santa Cruz Harbor and hunt halibut and maybe rockfish. I read that there are lots of sardines around the Monterey Bay beaches. Hoping to fish with live sardines... We shall see.

Still a possibility of rain Sunday, but waves and wind are looking good enough for a Pigeon launch. Unfortunately my parents are coming over that day. The  next weekend is ARW halibut and WAF factor may not allow two days in a row :smt012. I am jonesin to get out there with you. Hopefully soon.

Right on - hopefully we fish soon.  My last trip was less sharky (as in, none).

How is the fishing at pigeon point? Is it tying up to kelp or drift fishing?

You can do either, though I drift.  Working your way out from shore, it goes kelp/reef, sand, rock reef.  I tend to fish the outside of the kelp/reef, and sometimes the sand/reef edge for halibut.

Fishing is hit or miss.  Sometimes it's white hot, other times it sucks.

Cool!   I am so in for this.

But I am not sure I liked the last comment. ;)
I thought it was always white hot.

See you tomorrow.
