I'm probably not up to the effort required this weekend, but how do you think the trout trolling might be
@ melones, don pedro or turlock or mcclure or mcswain?

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

With the cold weather and rain, the local fishing report says the trout are being taken by trollers about 20' deep. The bank anglers are doing good too, but becasue of the weather not much fishing going on. The rain has been putting a lot of insects into the lake, helping the trout to come up....

I'd be there for sure, but I'm on call this weekend.   :smt013

that looks pretty good!

I'm getting more energized...

rain should be mostly tapering off. it might be windy, but if one is trolling and bundled, it could work.

3 hour drive for me. that's a long day. hmm...

I christened my trout/kokanee trolling rod on that bass two weekends back, would be cool to catch a trout on it.

What about all you pool people, don't you all need a trout? mooch? bill?

I'm waitiing patiently for Lake Del Valle to clear up.....I know this lake pretty well, so I'l be spending a lot of time fishing it for Lunker Catfish,Stripers, Trout, LM Bass and SM bass  :smt002

I may try Shadow Cliffs in Pleasanton this weekend - since it's one of the few lakes that does not get muddy during the rainy season (it was once a rock quarry).

Good luck!

The stripers are BIG in Del Valle but it seems like only a hand full of local fishermen know how to catch 'em.
Look through this album and you'll see some monsters:
