Partial upper skull...front fangs burned off on the BBQ.

 :smt003

Upper molars stayed together pretty well...

Check out the thin ridge on top of the skull where you would usually find a flat head to stab your knife into to pierce the brain and kill the fish.

I stabbed and stabbed and could find no bone, so then just ran my knife through his eyes and swam him back to the yak and strung him up like that!!

There were baseball sized chunks of meat on the sides of the head as well.

 :smt003 :smt007 :smt004 :smt007

Second picture of whole head shown for comparison.

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

Thanks....my focus was more on eating all the head meat than saving the skull....if I had gone the beetle route the whole thing would have probably stayed intact and been super duper sick!

Can't load pics for some reason right now, but you should be able to see the food porn (LingCod Ceviche and Wolf Eel Sushi) here, even without an FB account:

Wow, there's some differences in our wolf eel Jim. The one I caught at
Shelter Cove had much longer teeth and looked gnarlier. I wished I had
kept mind but my mom had already thrown it a way after she had cooked the meat (sinigang) sour soup.

I still have a small laugh at the thought of those molars wrapped around Jim's knuckle knowing that Jim was able to feel what it is like for the rest of us humans to get caught in a "BigJim handshake."
