Meet Danny (Superd270) at around 6:15 am.  We were probably had lines in the water by 7:30 am.  I had 2 thunder trout in a little while and then had a streak of bad luck and missed like 4 to 6 trout.  I think I had my limit by 9 am or 9:15 am.  All my thunders were 15" to 17".  Chartreuse w/gittiler power bait

Danny had 2 or 3 trout by that time.  We were tied up to my anchor and had the only one anchor.  So, we stayed out to 10:30 am maybe and Danny had his limit of 5 trout.  Some rainbows and thunders. 33 ft of water near Standley Blvd.

Good day and nice weather.  This lake fish better with a little wind and is pretty hard to fish in heavy wind or calm conditions.  We had lunch at Bob Burgers.  Good fishing with you Danny and thanks for lunch.

Ken Kickfish is kickbutt. He is the “Youdaman” when it comes to trout fishing.

We were otw by 7:35a and he got his limit by 9a. Score went like this: 1-0, 2-0, 3-0, 3-1, 4-2, 5-2.
Then he pulled me to his side n showed me the ropes and all things changed: 5-3, 5-4, 5-5.
Out of the water by 10:15a.

It was my first time yak fishing on a lake. Never like it coz I’d never been productive with it but thanks to Ken, it’s a whole different ball game now.

So guys, if u want trout, hook up with Ken and you’ll have your fill.

Thanks Ken for showing me the ropes. I chatted with "lapulapu" during lunchtime and he was all excited about the catch as well. He was supposed to meet with us but forgot due to heavy workload.

Anxious for the next hookup.

Nice trouts!  To bad I missed the hookup.  Looks like that lake is productive again.

Great report. My son and I go therea few times a month, but haven't figured that place out yet. We will be out town next week, up to Eagle Lake, but maybe we can hook-up when we get back.

Nice work on the trout.   Will eventually get back to freshwater but the big blue is still calling.  Thanks for the report and pics.

Glad to see you had a productive day out there!  If the swells and the wind dont die down, I might just give it a shot out there later this week.  Thanks for the heads up and I hope to see you guys soon!  Carolina rig with a treble hook?

Jeff,

Yes a Carolina rig with a treble hook.  Treble hook around a size 12 and 4 lb test leader and main line.  Leader from 1 ft to 4 ft.  Watch your fish finder.
