Rookie Mistake...

So I am all excited about going to GS5 and craming everything I might need into the RV; including my Kodak 'Point & Shoot" WP camera and my Nikon D700 (this ain't no kids camera, it's the real deal; 2nd best in Nikon's fleet). I also brought along some extra telephoto lens just in case I needed alittle extra power. Along the drive to Shelter Cove, I'm having my wife snap off a shot here and there of landscape, wildlife, etc.; including a few to document the Loose Screws journey to Shelter Cove.

And all throughout out the GS5 event from the seminar on Friday, to the pre-party potluck, the party in the RV and the journey home through the hail storm on Monday.

I'm all stoke about posting pictures of my first major event with NCKA, so I take out the camera, open the card slot and EMPTY!

I have shot a lot of special events, landscape, wildlife and portrait shoots; but I have never, EVER pulled a Gomer like this before!

So sorry guys, I don't have any photos to post for this event....

My wife lost a sh!t load of pics from a coastal trip we took last summer because she accidentaly reformated the camera with the card still in it

Been there Glen.  Last year I went to take fish pics and found out I left the camera battery at home in the charger......on three trips!  Doh!

A pinoy without a camera on a trip like that with the wifey?  That's a sin man.    No wonder I posted my own pics just to let everyone know I was there.  Just don't forget it for Albion.  We will be posing for you with our nice Lings and maybe a new kayak?.

Well. I was more thinking along the lines of having everyone who was there, go back this 3-day weekend and so I can re-shoot all the pictures again... think Darius had got the ideal with GS5.1

Okay, I'll bring another Pina Colada bag and we can pretend it's shelter cove again inside your RV.  Do we have to wear the same clothes?
