Collins Lake 5/11-5/12

I have a friend that is going to be there all week. I figured I would grab a couple yaks and head up there for some trout, bass crappie, catfish action. Will be in the open camping area. Company welcome. Trout early, then bass crappie, and at night take out an anchor and get some big cats.

Called Collins resort, and asked if there was a reduction in price for coming in after work 6ish  ($10.00 day use) Sounds like fun but gotta work... Might still make the run out wen evening till 9ish... Cats are huge out there!!! Bass toooo!!!!  thanks for the invite and Idea!

It's looking like Wed early afternoon overnight till Thurs eve. Fishing after dark for cats and crappie. Bass during daylight.

 Yes, the open area is down by the dam. I've only seen big bass floating. never caught a big one there. When the weather warms up it will be infested with ski boats and very crowded on the weekends. The colder season is when it is fun there. It is a nice place to camp though.
