For my "guest" yak (an old Scrambler XT) I've got one of those old Ocean Kayak paddles, a 2 piece with the white blades.  It works ok as a spare paddle, but when I used it the other day for the first time in a long time, it filled up with water and headed for the bottom.  Luckily I had a leash on it.

So anyone know how to get the old plugs out of these things and replace them?  Or it that the end...just go get a new paddle?

Dave

Just go buy a Werner....I hear they have a deal going where if you buy a new paddle you get a camera.

Dave,

Can you take a picture of it so I can see what you're talking about?
