OK so all this planning and thinking about Shelter Cove has been driving me a little nuts latley. So when a friend calls me up and says let's hit Shaver Lake, how could I resist. Even though the lake was droped to 10% last fall and has been frozen over all winter, this is may and it had to be worth a try. Well as we get set up of course the clouds come in low but hey it's MAY and this is the time of sun and fun so we beguin to troll and almost instantly I'm hooked up. She puts up a valiant fight and finaly sucums to the power of my 4lb line. Nice little fish in the 15" range. As we begin to troll again we notice the clouds are getting lower and I start to forget that IT IS MAY. Of course the bite is pretty good but someone forgot to TELL THE SKY THAT IT IS MAY!!!
Well we had cought a few fish by now and decided it would be wise to call it a day.
Launched 9:00am of the water 12:30 great time and for a brief moment forgot that it will only be 3 days till I head north for GS-5.

See Ya Soon,

But come on, weren't you just making bait for GS5????   :smt003

See you soon.

That's almost like training for a big fight. I see you're trying to hone your paddling
technique in the cold. :smt003

Glad you took the water therapy and calm down a bit but I wouldn't "shout" at Mother Nature if I were you  :smt003 Thanks for the report and pictures Eric.
