Hey all,

First time post I think.  Name is Chris, new to Kayaking.  Have a trident 15 and have only taken it out on the lake so far.  Am trying to get ready for the maiden ocean voyage and need to get set up.  My next item to get is the anchor set up.  I plan to use the anchor when diving on the Mendocino coast.  Some people have recommended the 4 point folding anchors and someone else said I might try a mushroom style.  Looking for some help getting the right set up.  Any comments appreciated.

Thanks!

isn't it better to clip it to some bull kelp? I am not sure I'd trust an anchor to hold in heavy wind, swell or chop.

The bull kelp thinned out a lot this winter, but is that what people do?  It is what I do with the dive tube.

I think so... I am new to the dive game. Most of the anchors used are the grapple kind. but that is for sturgeon fishing, etc
