Last season I was coming in from Dux to Stinson in the dark and had a nice lightning storm break out

So I was out there trying to figure out how to get snaps of it and later on posted the question here. This is a testament to how dull-witted I am, it just occurred to me that my Pentax Optio WP takes short movies w sound

If I'd have thought of that then I would've had some nice footage of coastguard helicopters flying formation looking for a kayak with lightning cracking in the background. What a dumbs--t, I probably shouldn't admit this publicly.

Just thinking of ways to enhance the possible upcoming salmon season

The Optio is a great camera. I really like when my wife forgets to take it out of movie mode and thinks it is still in picture mode. You get some interesting footage that way.  :smt003

I of course would never do this!  :smt002

Bill, that's a superb idea and my wife is gonna love you for this

She's a sleep talker which is amusing as hell to watch. Now I can get it on camera, maybe show it at our next dinner party

Yeah but it'd make for great party entertainment

I'll probably have to hide my favorite salmon rods for a while
