I don't think it is a self-destruct button, but not sure what it is for.  It sits just forward of the center hatch.  Hard, black plastic cap.  Any info would be appreciated.

i think that is where they inlet (pump) in the plastic when in the mold after they remove it they cap it...I could be totally wrong but that is my guess.

Could be wrong, but looks to me like a suction cup mount for a gps or radio?  One came with my garmin, looked kinda like that.

I think some body drilled a hole there and then plugged it.I have a 140 I bought new and that plug was not there.Give that plug a good water test, because that area always holds water.

Thanks guys for the input.  I still am up in the air.  I did reach under there and it hasn't been drilled or opened up (it is smooth as glass under there and you can feel the the formation of the slight indentation that the mystery thing sits in side of (the rectangular indentation).  The thing doesn't seem like it will unscrew and it is not a piece of the kayak as you can see, but it is attached somehow.  The mysteries of the world.

Trying to get my anchor rigs set-up.  Hope to get on the river to test them this evening.  Having slight issues but will conquer them.

Anyways thanks for the input and I am still looking for a definitive answer.
