Weather looks good for a trip out there.   I've never fished the area before.  Is anyone heading out there saturday so I can tag along? Any suggestion on place to launch, tackle etc. would be greatly appreciated!

Been crabbing in half moon bay a few times.  Second season abalone diving.  That's just with the kayak.  I mostly fish by boat before I got my kayak.

Launch from two places that i have done, though i am a newbie also.  The MBK is good go out to the buoy by the hotel.  or the coast guard station is very mellow and easy launch.  I have used calamari on a hook or on a lure before and have had decent success. I hope others here will chime in with other suggestions as i would like to get more into my repertoire.  Good luck i hope all goes well and stay safe.
