Water temp 63 to 68, ugly peasoup water, lots of birds and lots of tules, not one bite.  Tried chigger craw red/black, senkos in blue/black and yellow/white, brush hogs in blue/black and watermelon/red.  Threw spinnerbait, kvd crank and chrome red eye shad  around likely targets.  Three fish broke the surface while I was there, soft swirls, are there trout in there?
Met a guy at the gas station who said he caught some bass in here lately,  but next time I think I'll drive to the delta.

People actually do catch fish there. I saw someone caught a trout ( I believe ) from the bank one time and someone told me he caught a bass there. One piece of advice: Do not get too close to the banks by the tall trees near the road/highway. I was fishing there one time in my yak and I was like "Oh shit, there's a lot of fish hitting the surface!" I then learned about all the birds nesting on the tree branches way up high and they were dropping shits like B-52 Bombers.
