I have the day off work and the weather is looking good so I am heading to Moss Landing tomorrow.  I am planning on being on the water shortly after sun rise.  Anyone else game?

Hey, I'm not the only one who was thinking of it!   Sunrise is at 6:40, light a little before that,  Weather looks good, swell- not much.  The current will be flowing out until about 11, but not a huge tide.  The weather predictions have been pretty steady -little wind, maybe some overcast.   I'll be ready to launch at sunrise.
Do you have a favorite spot to launch?  I have several times launched behind the north jetty opposite the launch ramp - take Jetty Road a 1/4 mi north of the launch entrance. That road could be closed, never has been.  Behind the south jetty is doable as well, but the parking's not as good.  I could be persuaded to launch from the launch ramp side - been a while - parking meters I suppose?
I will probably want to head out and N.W. or straight out just to get to the deeps earlier and in case the wind comes up.  Did you have a better idea?  Figure I'd troll mostly, maybe mooch if I find some bait balls.  Most of the catches have been out further than a couple miles, but maybe we'll find some scouts in closer.
I have a green Prowler 15 with large yellow patches on bow, brown Accord car.

North jetty launch works for me.  I had sort of the same plan, troll out nw and with any luck, find a ball of bait and mooch.  I read at least one report last week of some fish caught at 36'49/121'49 which is about a mile and a half out.  I am not crazy about going too much further.  who knows, maybe all the pb's are running over the fish on their way out??  well I can hope at least!

anyway, I will be in a green/yellow ws ride, red ford f250.  I should be at the parking lot about 6am.
