I am very new to the kayak fishing scene.  I just bought a used Perception Bimini 15' and Perception Castor 12.5' for what seemed like a good deal on craigslist.  Do Perception kayaks have a good reputation?  Are they popular?  I just don't see too many rigged up on this site so I was curious.  Thanks guys.

i think they are more of a east coast kayak, any thing that fits ours should fit on yours. come to an event and check out peoples boats, all you really need is a depth finder and one rod holder, maybe a small tackle box, less is more is my new thinking   :smt003

I have a caster 12.5, it works ok.  Doesn't have nearly the features of an Ocean Kayak or a Hobie, but also much cheaper.  It worked just fine for rockfish @ Ft. Ross last season.

Appreciate it... like I said I don't see too much on it but definitely I will have to come to one of the gatherings and scope out everybody's yak.
