after 5 years waiting, finally a wetsuit :)

Made the most of my REI $$ by getting a NRS Farmer John and 3mm jacket, booties and neoprene socks   

Next I need a spear gun and dive board so I can use the motorcycle to gather the oceans bounty at 45mpg    (already have Ab irons/gauges)

I'll be watching for dive hook-ups now 

I have a tiny spear gun, wonder if it would work...

If using for freediving, I suggest 7mil for the top/bottom. I don't think REI carries, I'm a member also.

I run with a 5 mil (might be a 3mil) my self, as long as your warm enough. Freediving your on the surface allot, if your SCUBA I would get a 7mil for up here.  A short gun is great for the holes in Nor cal. Look at some of the past pics from Big Jim he is carring a nice hole gun and I haven't seen a report yet where he's missed. I saw some really great how Too's on the board for making your own AB board, other then that I'd go with a Banks board. IMHO if you can't get your yak in the water for some reason.

I went ahead and got the 3 mm FJ because I figure I will be on the Ride135 most of the time and didnt want to get too hot in the sun 
the other reason is the REI return policy....which I would rather not use this time.....

LOL!! I miss all the time, but that is almost always due to user error, rather than the gun!!   

I am VERY happy with the little 27 inch gun that I am using....when you are shooting at a fish in a hole you don't need a big old cannon and a little gun is easier to maneuver and get in tight to little holes...
