Tuesday evening at the port of Sac (3-15-11) and BMB is clowning and standing in his little inflatable.  He did manage the only fish of the night, but 2 days later I caught more (3 to 2)  :)

I hope Ben/BMB brings it Saturday so we can demo it. I really want to see how it reacts to the wind..

unfortunately i won't be able to come out, my wife wants me to stay home and clean out the garage.....

i can say that the i9 is very stable, moreso than my revo and my old adventure was, but that should not be a surprise considering it is 36" wide and has a 325lb weight capacity.  i was going to try to stand up paddle it but i wasn't completely comfortable since there was some current behind me.  i actually stood in it originally to try to reach a chatterbait i lost about 10' in the air but i couldn't reach it.

it is not a great turning boat, as the small rudder does not sit low enough in the water since i carry very little gear with me in the small boat.  i tend to turn best when i lean in the direction of the turn. handles ok in the wind, but since it rides high it doesn't really cut waves as much as it goes over them.  the wide beam makes it susceptible to the breeze, and you can get turned around in it.  but the stability wins out.  I am lazy in that i don't fold it up properly after fishing, usually letting it dry out in my trunk area half folded until i get it home.

sometime i will probably upgrade to the inflatable sailing rudder for better turning, but not really worth the investment right now since i only use it for travel fishing and occasionally on the rivers.
