We took a family trip to the beach, I got in some perching but no surfing as the wind came up as we got
there. waves were tiny but clean and peeling on the sand bars. I heard manressa was great surfing sunday.

fishing was better later as the tide came in, I got on a school of dinks on a clear gravelly bar.  fish for 6 casts
in a row. just nice to have a fish on the line after all my freshwater failures of late.  wondered if I would ever
catch a fish again,  :smt009.

kalin 1.5" perch power, #10 baitholder, 3' 10lb berkeley big game leader, 8lb xt hi-vis main. 1.5oz egg.

had to leave before I wanted (fishing just picking up,  :smt010), kids were fine in their new nrs youth wetsuits
but my wife got cold.  caught one non-dink fish in a huge deep hole right next to shore, but could not duplicate it
after coming in to unhook fish, take picture, release fish, etc.  still not alien-worthy, but better.

over-all great family day.
