Got to the Forebay around 8:30 and started trolling.  The lake is down about 2 feet and the water is very clear (maybe too clear).  I caught 3 stripers, biggest one maybe barely legal.  I also got a bonus largemouth about 2.5# which exploded on my plug right at the boat as I was lifting it out of the water.  That'll get you going!  All fish CNR'd today.  Off the water at 11:00.

It was one of those days ... I left my tackle bag sitting in the driveway.  Good thing I had one plug still hanging on a rod.  It was the only one I had with me.   :smt013  I also left my fishfinder battery and with the low water I had a hard time finding the edge of the weeds.  Probably spent more time snagging up than I did actually fishing.

good work, I was wondering when you guys were going to tell me I should try the forebay! I thought Bill is the
guy that is normally all over that one? trolling a plug appeals to me, I can't take any kind of still fishing, I have no
patience.

Yeah John, you should hit the Forebay!  :smt003

Today was a typical winter day there.  Although this year there seems to be a whole lot more sub legals.  The Forebay is turning into my "go to" place in the winter.  I'll continue to fish it for a couple more months still, before switching over to other spring fisheries.

allen, it is on my list for this spring! been waiting for bill to give the all clear,  :smt003.

I've never been. I scored a pile of little used plugs on ebay to lose on snags.  I'm ready.

never caught a striper of any size, I don't think I've even caught a fish in freshwater
off the kayak yet. so it's only up from here,  :smt004.

give us a little more warning next time and I'll be there!

Last year we where all over that place but this year things have changed a bit for me.  :smt002

The forebay was very consistant in producing fish for me, rarely got skunked but never caught anything bigger than about 22"

Sorry about that.  I wasn't even supposed to be in CA this weekend, but had a bit of a family emergency that demanded my attention.
