Jay,
F.Y.I. Fisherman's Warehouse sells the Ultra for $1499.99 and this Saturday we are having a NO TAX sale.
I know you weren't thinking of buying so soon but could save BIG money :smt001

Jay I haven't paid for mine yet...and I pay a discount price, so not the best reference on that end....

Part of that high msrp is it comes standard with all the hatches, seat, scupper plugs bungies, etc.  Center hatch is also part of the additional expense.  Oh,  the rudder comes standard, you can't buy it without the rudder.  Better style also than the old OK rudder system.

Allen

Scupper plugs? Mine didn't come with any. Did I miss something?

Allen/Gabe,

Do you guys mind sharing the price you paid for the yak?
OK lists the MSRP at $1600, which at that price I think my personal preference would be to take the plunge and pay for a Revo or a bit more for an Adventure. But, the hull design and potential speed of the 4.7 interest me.

-Jay

I also didn't pay MSRP for mine. It was kind of a one of kind situation so I'm not sure I should publicly share the price I paid as it wouldn't be fair. I can say that I'm very happy with the deal I got. I wanted a Revo, but the $1800 price tag put it just past what I could do. I missed the one used one by only a few minutes, but oh well. That's life. If I didn't jump on the Ultra when the opportunity was there I may not have got a kayak at all. Used Revos don't come along all that often and this deal was too good to pass up.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

Thanks guys!  :smt006
I'm probably not in the market yet, especially since the P15 is still going strong. But it is 5 years old and won't last forever so I'm always on the lookout.
Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party. -Jimmy Buffett

Plus, it's made in New Zealand, and every boat has to be shipped......
