Looks crazy, but I bet the forces on the body are pretty tollerable going into the splash zone.  my concer would be undertow and backwash causing bodily impact on rocks.....

considering that many of us go miles out to sea in fairly foul weather fishing (means distracted from survival), this is a step up the risk ladder, but not too far  :)

Went to the store this morning and the security guards are all "man, you go on the ocean?" (yes) "thats crazy man, I'm afraid i'd die....youre crazy man....have a good day"   lol

its all about skill, competence, confidence, and the acceptance of risk   :)
