I used to put those S biners on the paddle leash. My paddle drifted away from the kayak twice while I was yak diving. Not sure what happened, but they get unleashed easily. I no longer use those S biners in the kayak anymore. Also, they rust and the spring get stuck. They're great for around the house though.

God I just love Harbor Freight.  Thanks for the info on the So. Bay store.  I will have to get up there and check out the help.  Here is another item that will get your barbeque charcoal white hot in just under 2 minutes, with no aftertaste if used properly, and you don't burn down the house----my favorite----Jeff
