I have a malibu xl, which I got for the family and also use it to dive off of.  I realize its not a fishing kayak, but any suggestions on what I can do to it, without serious modifications like hole drilling I can do to make it fishing friendly?

The search function is not great but is a good start before posting a question. Here is some stuff I pulled up using a search...

The Malibu 2 XL is tough to rig because of the 2 different seating configurations. Attaching your rod holders, FF, downrigger to a crate or seat is a simple solution to avoid multiple rod holders. I have everything attached to my seat which I can also use on rental kayaks.

I always have to remind myself to go back to basics.. example like using the search..  I kinda get distracted by all the ads that flash on my screen when I visit here to check that.

Thanks for the reminder, I am checking out those posts now.  The milk crate idea is what I am probably going to go with on the center attachment,  I like how they did it at a angle for it stay in the water.

I just need to search now for the min. requirements that are necessary to have when fishing out of a kayak.. like the net, fish grabber thingamajig, i guess the fish hooker, etc.. lol *fishing newbie here*

I paddle an XL Tandem and have had great success.   I've put on a FF and a couple of rod holders and would be happy to share tips.
