Woke up at 5am.  Saw that it was raining in Sunnyvale.  Went back to sleep.  Got up at 9am and the sky look pretty good.  Overcast, but no dark clouds.  Got on the water around 10:30am.  Got two hits right a way.  They were bitting real light.  Finally, got a small trout around noon.  I was fishing the point.  I stay there until around 2pm.  Bank guys were not doing to good.  Lots of zeros and a few with 1 or 2 fish.

I was paddling in and my fish finder started to go wild.  Had fish under the Yak every few seconds.  I was in 22 ft of water and there were a line of bank guys to my right.  I don't think you can normally fish this spot.  The bank guys were casting out farther then were my Yak was.

Got one more fish and had maybe 4-5 bites there.  It is the start of the narrows.  The bottom part of the U.  Horseshoe Lake is in a shape of a U.

Two fish 12" & 13".  But, very skinny.   Not, like last week.  All on Rainbow Power Bait. They planted 750 lbs. on Fri. from Mt Shasta Area.

The rain probably took the fish off the bite.  But, heard there are a pretty good bite in the morning (in the rain).
