Horse Mountain to Point Arena Opens February 18, 2006, 2 Salmon per day of any species except coho, minimum size 20".

Do you fish up there?  Does anyone?

The season up here opens (usually) way before the fish do.  You always hear reports of a few big ones being caught by PBers trolling all day.  Generally they're few and far between until at least April-May, and the ocean conditions can be rugged too.  This is out in front of Fort Bragg, BTW.

it's like fishihg for the big one. a long wait. then a lot of excitement, then a long wait.. etc.

surfing has some weird similarities with fiishing as least as far as 'the surch' goes.

the swell was very long period. big sets. then nothing for minutes.

I surfed santa cruz yesterday, it was fun. I surfed a spot where it's not real big.
