I am planning to go to Philippines this year, I am thinking of bringing a gun for rats and bats, Is it legal to send them on the box or my cargo disassembled? Dont know about any gun law, Thanks

Ask the airlines, Darius.

Check with the airlines, but I know for a fact that for non-international flights you can take a rifle in checked baggage as long as you declare it and it is without ammunition. Also, I know a few guys that have hunted in Africa. They were able to take their rifles in checked bagged, also declared and separate from heir ammunition.

I used to take my handguns back and forth to Louisiana. As long as you declare it
and it is in a locked case, it's OK. Not sure for overseas though. Goodluck.

It will have to go checked, as you'r already intending, as it's considered a weapon (just like knitting needles and toenail clippers ;) ). It is not a firearm, so you don't need to declare it as such when checking bags.

That's on the US side - What are the laws in the Phillippines, regarding pellet rifles?
