DFG may open ling before April 1 but for now the opener for ling and Abs is April 1. Where do you plan to dive April 1st assuming at least fair conditions?

Somewhere near Ft. Bragg, or STillwater cove if I have to be back early...
will be taking that Friday off to dive for sure.

Did the plan by DFG to open Ling season for shore based and divers year-round not happen? Hmmm, I been outta touch...due to tides and scheduling conflicts my first ab poppin will be the second weekend in April, Gualala way.

DFG hasn't made a final ruling on the new dates so the opener could change. I'm not sure where I'm diving yet. Maybe Albion or the Fort.

Either camping at Caspar or Ocean Cove. Its a tough decision. At this exact moment, I'm leaning more towards Caspar. Standby for updates!
