Got to Clear Lake about 2 pm Friday.  I got in the water about 4:00 after completing my honey due list on our trailer at Bayview Rec. park.1/2 mile from Konocti Harbor Resort  I started by drop shotting  watermelon robo worms.  Second cast wham! 2lb LMB.  I was getting a little love :smt007.  Then about a half hour in I caught the 2lber’s little brother.   The wind picked up and I called it quits :binkybaby:.  It was a balmy 39 deg F.  Lets see if I can figure out how to post pics …  Thanks Jason for the hand me down FF.  I can’t wait to get some more time on the lake to mark some of the drop-offs.

Clearlake's a lake I've been dreaming of fishing for years. I HOPE TO MAKE SOMETIME in spring.
Why Do I paddle a kayak instead of a float tube or a pontoon boat? I like seeing where I'm going not where I've been!
Paddle safe and wrap'em tight.

DO the boats get crazy there and are the Bass beginning to thaw from the cold or they freezing all over again?

Boats go a little nuts in clear lake during the summer. I remember a few year back before I started Kayaking I was on a 3 man inflatable with a trolling motor near State Park. Almost got flipped out a few times when the water skiers decided to do drive by's.  Lots of fish to go along with the skiers.

There are definatly a lot of boats on the water on holidays and summer weekends (Saturday and Sundays.)  I stay close to the shoreline and the docks where the bass and crappie hang out.
