Does anyone have any recommendations for the best paddle leash and paddle clip holder?  The surf to summit leash looks pretty good...
Thanks!

Whatever one you end up with make sure it has a quick release up by the paddle so you can disconnect the leash from the paddle when launching or landing in surf.

+1 I have the Hobie one where you have to take the paddle apart to use it, not good

I use this one and love it.  It has the quick disconnect snap the other guys mentioned.  West Marine and most yak stores carries them.

I like your style Redwoodfox... I'm gonna try my hand at making my own leash.  Thanks!

yeah some curly phone cord with a clip on one end (for attaching to the yak) and a velcro loop for around the paddle. Just make it long as needed. I have one that is WAAAAY to long. and I use it on my surf yak as way to pull the boat through the waves

I like my homemade leash with side release squeeze buckles on both ends, it's quick. I use a thicker nylon line that doesn't get tangled . The buckles are cheap and good for rod leashes as well. Used gorilla duct tape and it made it thru the summer with no signs of wear. I wrapped mono around the tape so the edges don't  lift.
