I'm wearing polartec under my paddle jacket and polypro leggings under my dry pants.  Even if I take a dunk I should still okay.  I've worn a similar outfit and dumped without any issue with the cold even though I got wet.  I'm also wearing heavy neoprene gloves for both warmth and hand protection.

By the way, the WX as reported by swellinfo.com shows a lot of wind during the day today with the wind starting to die down to under 10 knots after 10 PM.  We will check the WX when we get there and see if the wind looks okay or whether we want to wait a bit for the wind to die down some more.

If I am going... I'll go commando wearing shorts or long water pants, flip flops/booties and gloves as always... I intend to A: Not be out long. and B: Not get wet... (thats the plan anyway..) not sure if I can make it yet..

Was gonna go out at dawn until I saw that it was 37F and the "Feels Like" temp was 32F. Got out on the water around 10:30 or so. Dropped my traps and got chased off by the wind around 1:00. Was kinda slow, only had 4 legal dungies. Saw Shellback out there not sure what he ended up with. Be out early tomorrow to pick up my traps. I'm considering launching off the beach if swells allow to save some time.

I'm here now, just dropped traps.  Wind? Zero.  Pass the breaker wall 1-3 foot swell, hardly noticable, temp is chilly for sure.

Kewl, sounds like great conditions right now.  I'll be out in a couple hours, packing my car now.  Will you be around when we get there at 10:00 PM?

I just got home from dropping my traps at HMB...weather was decent, wind started dying down when I got there at 3pm and I was off the water at 4pm. Saw a few kayakers getting into the water as I was leaving. The temp was def dropping as the sun was going down, so make sure you guys bundle up. I'll be back there tomorrow to join you guys...till then be safe out there and stay warm  :smt002

Hi Im new to NCKA and went out yesterday morning to go crabbing in HMB. Met some cool ppl out there but also made the dumb mistake of possibly leaving my brand new VHF radio out there. I cant find it anywhere and possibly left it at the HMBK launch site near the fresh water hoses and picnic tables. It is a West Marine VHF 150 with the clip attached 16,68, and 69 are the memscan settings. if found please call me (650) 766-2049 or PM me.

Thank you for reading this!
