Dang....I wish I would have seen that before I first went to Lafayette Resevoir. Got down to the launch for the first time and said...."Oh crap" now what do I do? It was about a 1-2' down to the water. Real fun. The tough part is getting in without your kayak moving off.

SCallen showed me this technique the first time I launched out of the SC Small Boat harbor.  It works well, but it still makes me a little uneasy.

I am sure it would be a lot easier to attempt using a less expensive paddle. On word came to mind when I first saw this...SNAP!!!!
