Rainy weather and churning ocean produced at one point what seemed 3' visibility.  There was a lot of particles in water.  The usually-flat cove had 2-3' swells.

I got my 3 abs in 10 minutes and left water.

The moment I reached shore the sun came out  :smt013.  Was tempted to re-enter water to take a look but finally decided against it because I didn't want to leave my abs on the shore, and was too lazy to hike back up to the parking lot to put them away.  So I spent my time looking for ab shell at shore, and I found a ONE-INCH shell!!  So cute.  I'll post a photo shortly.

By the way, is there a site along the Sonoma coast that is as protected as Fort Ross Cove and have less vertical distance to hike?  Sort of like Van Damme state beach would be ideal....
