Theres plenty of trout on the Sacramento river from Shasta Lake to Redbluff.  Anderson Park, Roosters Landing, and Bonny View are all kayak friendly launches.  if your coming to fish the area, let me know.

Thanks for the intel Wil. I'm still thinking about coming up to the area. I'll give you plenty of heads up next time. That trout looks beautiful. We don't get fish like that down in the Bay Area lakes.

caught on assorted glowbugs by my buddy Alan, who caught 3 of those babies on his 1st kayak fishing adventure this last weekend.  Recruitment at its finest, lol. :pirat:

I look forward to your trip ernie.

Nice fish, I'm actually looking at two guys fishing the gravel bar just below the Bonnyview Ramp right now.  I stare at the river all day but haven't fished it in two years...very, very sad.  Would love to get out there, when are you heading back out?

Nice report & fish. Just got my new waders and can't wait to try them. There are a couple of us that live in the area that I'm sure would love to hook-up. Send me a P.M. if you wan't some company.

I've flyfished that section from my jet boat for many years, or raft, but haven't been there in several years. Never floated it in the yak tho. This is a great time to float it while the flows are down. Maybe sometime we can work out a shuttle and drift. I used to use a taxi when I used my raft. They should be stacking up behind the spawning salmon now.
