I was checking out Ocean Kayaks YouTube on the new rod pod. My thought on mounting a water bottle cage in the middle of the rod-pod, it seems like it would get in the way when you had to get back into your kayak, and if you wanted to sit sideways and fish it would defiantly be in the way. So with some thought, (pics be-low) this is what I have come up with, hope it helps someone, it works for me.

That's exactly what I did on the old rod pod, and on the new one.  It works great to hold your pliers or grippers, and your water bottle! Good idea :smt003
