Wow.  "bbum's weblog-o-mat" was an interesting link, but I don't know that the whale was "hundreds of feet long" - definitely huge though.  That's pretty unique.

is this the same carcass that got washed out at ocean beach a few weeks ago?.. otherwise this is the 3rd whale washed up on beach one on southern cal.. thats scary why our whales dying..
