The tribe has been doing it right since I was a little one.  It was artifical only with a slot limit in the 60's!

This trip is still a go.

Be a good lake to get a jump on the big fish pool with a monster cut.

Not being a participant in the "Big Fish Pool" and wishing only to stir up controversy, I would point out that according to the BFP rules, Nevada is out of bounds.

Vanim,

You are very correct! I'm not in the big fish pools so I haven't looked at the rules. At least one could still get bragging rights =)

And I thought CA regs were confusing.......  The whole reservation thing kinda scares me.

I have pushed the date back until February 24th and 25th. I really don't want to do the trip solo.

How about a trout trolling expedition to one of don pedro, mclure, mcclain, melones or turlock?
(something directly east of mountain view basically, and not too crowded with sacramentonians
like amador seems to be)
maybe some of us sf bay types could make that.  I'm sure that whatever is arranged I won't
be able to make it, but I would dearly like to try this once this winter.

best,
