Working on another dive board, was gonna use some plywood like the one Big Jim has but I dont see A benifite to it. What would be the benifit? Seems to ad weight but as far as buoncy does it have an affect? Anyway got some more stuff to ad just getting started. I like the gun mount seems to be in A good location, I dont think it will get in my way... :smt006

how much did you pay for just the board? i need one bad.

just my 2 cents, but with the wood, seems like you could easily install eyelets  and such with basic hardware like wood screws, or drill holes..

With tha said, i like the clean look of this one so far, like the gun holder.

I like the gunmount bro!!!

The eyelets in the wood are super useful for me...I have a ton of crap clipped off on there (VHF, Licence, Kelp Clip, Game Clip etc)...as far as buouancy, I have no clue....maybe adds strength and rigidity to the board too?

The first couple of times out I didn't feel like it really floated me all the way, but last weekend I fully committed to laying on it with all 240+ pounds of me, 28 pounds of lead, my gun, and Porky's Pole Spear (that thing aint light!!) and it floated me fine coming in and right over the kelp/rocks/grass at the entrance to the dive site!!

 :smt003

Looking forward to seeing the progress and finished product of the board Andy!!

Sincerely,

Jim

I found the last one for $5.25 @ the goodwill!  :smt004.. All the eyelets and hardware probable twenty bucks including the rope from Harbor Freight. So my whole setup is less than 30 bucks. I like to go to the east side in Salinas cause nobody buys boogie boards. You should see some of the wetsuits I run into for like 20 bucks! :smt005

Ebay has a bunch of used BB's on there too!  Was thinking of picking one up myself, but just to play around with in the surf  :smt003
