nice thing about launching from MBK is that you can wash your yak down and gut your fish behind the kayak shop....just make sure you don't leave any fish guts within the cleaning station....oh, and there's lots of parking too...

Good luck to all and be safe!

mooch is right about the yak cleaning station etc. but i think launchin outta LP is a far better choice. you cut the distance down to 1/3 of that from MBK, atleast. the beach iside of LP is usually calm. its tucked way inside of the point so its pretty damn protected. like dpshim said, you can use the CGJ boat ramp if the surf is really that bad which i doubt it will be at LP. CGJ is inbetween LP and MBK so not a bad location, and the ramp rarely has boat 'traffic'. but LP is the best bet IMO, just rinse your yak on the beach like i do  :smt005

anyway, goodluck to everyone. i hope you all get atleast one.....okay 2.....
and make sure to get towed in plain view of the PB'ers, show em wussup!

even though im sure you guys already know what to expect. i just checked the swells for tomorrow. it cake, 2-3ft at 13 sec. i recommend LP.

Al, one of our NCKA brothers gave me a call not too long ago to tell me he landed his first today!! :D I had 2 other friends on boats, both did not have any hookup and saw just a couple being caught.

I hope that I'm not getting the PBs mad for saying this, but the fish was caught between LP and the aquarium, outside of the SMR in 150FOW using 1oz sinker to drop it down to about 60' down. He located bait and fish on his FF. I hope that our brother will share his report with us all, and hope that this isn't too much info :P

yep that is where I got my two yesterday. one fly lined one with 1oz. just on the north side of the yellow can. with that little wx you may need less than 1 oz
