Yep I am in, I am looking forward to learning alot! Maybe we should have an NCKA team and all fish together?

Not to all new Dads, planning ahead and securing WAF in advance seems to be key!  :smt003

Is everyone fishing in SC or will there be other places to go to.....

We talked to the T shirt guys today and the Sand Crab Classic shirt this year is going to be an instant classic!  A gnarly barred perch bodysurfing afrter the speeding sandcrab.  There's still room for entries, but it's filling up fast.  I'm stoked. Looks like we'll have some cool quality prizes and raffle items from major sponsors.  I'll give more info when things get solidified.

Thanks all of you for your support of the Salmon and Trout Project via this contest.

Sadly, I will be missing the Sand Crab this year.  That date is the same as my daughter's 2nd birthday.  I spent a few days trying to figure out how I could sneak out -- and then decided that, as much as I enjoy hunting the elusive BSP, I actual *prefer* my baby girl's birthday.

Anyway, last year the winners were Barred Surf Perch (of course) caught on live shrimp down on the beaches by Monterey.  Apparently the water further north was too cloudy for the BSP to see prey.

Hey! We could do that Bill, :smt002

I'm headed down to Monterey tonight to scope out the conditions of my favorite Perch holes. I'll be taking notes this whole weekend to draw up  Plans for the tourni. :evil5:

It should be fun. Hopping the fishing is good so we could take more pics like this one!!! :smt003
