Not really a kayak report, but...

stopped by stinson for some perchin'- arrived just after 10.
finished at 2.  Lost count of how many I caught.  Probably about 25-30.  All on motor oil 2" power grub, and #8 gamagatzus.  Most were in the 10" range, some around 12-13, and a couple of split tails in the group.  Also managed the biggest perch in a long, long time- probably close to if not over 16".  Thing screamed drag, I thought I had a wayward striper at first.
There is excellent structure along the beach-- inlcuding three amazing rips. One just N of the parking lot in front of the black wall, then another 300yds past that, and another strange double about 150yds N of that.

I  may head out again today for a few hours-- bringing the flyrod this time i think.

Excellent... Steve!
What kind of rod/reel/line setup were you using?
Did you have to get into the surf with a wetsuit or waders?
I need to give perchin' a shot.

I wore my waders, surf was small.  I was using my light striper rig-- 7 foot light action, with 30lb spectra, then a 1oz slider, and a 2 foot 8lb flouro leader.  About the deepest i had to wade was knee deep
