What is it used for? Saw one on MBK site and don't see how it would be helpful...

Welcome to the board   :smt006

I wondered the same thing for a while and finally asked someone.  It's for Sit-IN-Kayaks, to help you stabilize and re-enter a SIK by putting a float on one end of the paddle, and resting it across the yak, to help you get leverage as you climb on in.

Cheers!  :smt002

Don't know why i didn't youtube it myself. I have sit in kayaks and have rolled them in the pool for practice...  just don't see the need for another piece of gear to carry. I can see how it would be good for a guy who was large and out of s :smt001hape....  for now that's not me :)
