OK I know I should get on a SoCal Board and I joined one last night.  But on my last post a few asked for some SoCal reports.  Yesterday I went out of Cabrillo Beach again on the "inside" (after my successful "newbie" trip up to Trinidad the week before!)  All I caught was one lousy bait-sized lizard fish.   But I did not get my lazy **tt out until about 1:00 and I met all these kayak fisherpeople coming in about then.  They told me a good socal board (Bigwatersedge) and I took a few pix of the halibut they caught.  I still had a great time meeting them and catching my tiny lizard fish.  I'm learning each trip and that's good! -- see pix. --

As long as you're providing good pics and stories you should keep the SoCal reports coming - especially with chicks with 'buts...   :smt002

db, thanks for sharing your so cal report with us all. It's always sweet to read reports of So Cal or going on adventures with our Southern Cal brothers/sisters.

Black Ab is correct, keep those So Cal reports coming especially when the first thing your eyes catch glimpse of are chicks and buts :P

That area just off Cabrillo is known for halis. A friend got a 40# in that vicinity not too long ago.

I grew up in SB. Weatherwise, I sure do miss the beach down there.

It is also known for girls who paddle around in wife beaters and waders while fishing for hali's!........nice pic
